Master Data Manager

The Master Data Manager is responsible for the efficient and effective management of data entry and maintenance for our ERP (SAP) and other connected systems. The Master Data Manager will act as the gatekeeper to manage, centralize, organize, and maintain accurate master data records according to business rules. Additionally, the Data Manager will collaborate with the data integrity team, business analysts, and stakeholders to continuously improve processes and procedures.


• Responsible for the creation, validation, and modification of the data in systems
• Responsible for ensuring quality, consistency, validity, and reliability of all data
• Analyze and synthesize data requests from stakeholders; be “hands-on”
• Use multiple tools to analyze data to ensure the accuracy and quality of Master Data
• Process requests to add or alter data pertaining to items, customers, suppliers, etc.
• Work in close collaboration with different departments within the company (Purchasing, Marketing, Sales, Warehouse and Finance)
• Maintain and audit data files across systems
• Participate in the development of requirements, processes, and procedures to ensure data quality
• Recommend corrective actions or enhancements to improve data integrity
• Make recommendations for solutions or improvements that can be accomplished through new technology or alternative uses of existing technology
• Addresses any issues, questions, and problems in an accurate and timely manner
• Perform data management activities in accordance with corporate, customer, and regulatory requirements
• Engage and partner with third-party vendors and IT as required


College degree in Business Administration, Data Analysis or equivalent


  • 8-10 years of experience in a master data management/data entry role Strong knowledge of the Master Data Management discipline (such as governance, entering and correction of data, data quality monitoring, standardisation)
  • Proficiency in SAP master data management (Customer, Material, Vendor, BOM, etc..)
  • Advanced knowledge of the WinShuttle application is an asset
  • Knowledge of the Vistex application is an asset
  • Strong analytical skills, use of MS Office (Excel) and SQL
  • Outstanding interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities
  • Strong time management skills
  • Bilingual (French and English) oral and written
