Accounts Payable Associate

JOB OBJECTIVE

The Accounts Payable Associate will be the right hand of the Accounts Payable Supervisor and will support the accounting department by performing accounts payable duties in a professional manner.

PRIMARY FUNCTIONS

    • Review, code and process supplier invoices.
    • Review and reconcile general ledger accounts.
    • Examine and analyze accounts payable.
    • Analyze variances related to accounts payable.
    • Prepare and process corrective entries in the general journal.
    • Participate in the weekly treasury process.
    • Process payments.
    • Assist the Accounts Payable Supervisor.
    • Provide support to the accounting group as needed.
    • Analyze and process expense reports and credit cards.
    • Process and respond to supplier inquiries.
    • Provide support to the accounting group as needed.

ACADEMIC TRAINING

    • Accounting Diploma / Certificate in Accounting

EXPERIENCE, COMPETENCIES AND APTITUDE

    • Minimum of 5 years experience in accounting role specializing in accounts payable.
    • In-depth knowledge of Excel (Pivot tables, formulas, etc.)
    • Knowledge of SAP is an asset.
    • Analytical skills are required.
    • Excellent organization, interpersonal and planning skills.
    • Managing frequent changes in priorities and dealing with tight deadlines.
    • Ability to work on simultaneous projects effectively.
    • Detail-oriented.
    • Team player.
    • Fluency in English and French spoken and written.
